DESCRIPTION |
Trinidadian singer/songwriter Darryl "Farmer Nappy" Henry returns with his unique brand of soca for the masses with his new EP, Mischief. This is the follow up to his critically-acclaimed album, You Make Me...Surrender, which was released one year ago. The Mischief EP presents the true essence of Trinidad's carnival season. Fusing calypso, kaiso, ragga, soca, reggae and dancehall tones, the sounds of Farmer Nappy always journey beyond carnival circles and Mischief plays the same tune. The EP leads off with "Stranger," which was Farmer's most-played track this season, propelling him into finals of the 2013 International Groovy Soca Monarch competition, held in Trinidad. His singles "Minglin'" and "Drunk" also racked up massive fanfare during the season and continue to enjoy regular airplay on soca-format programming, across the Caribbean. Certified party anthems "Ah Find Mehself Dey" and "Stranger (The Road Mix)" round out the five-track offering, keeping fans satisfied year-round. Producers on the EP include soca's top hitmakers Precision Productions from Trinidad and De Red Boyz from Barbados, granting Farmer Nappy Caribbean fusion at its best. |
